A motorcyclist has died after a crash on the A487 in Gwynedd. Police have arrested a driver on suspicion of dangerous driving.

Bangor: A motorcyclist has died after a crash on the A487. This happened near Ysbyty Gwynedd. Emergency services arrived on the scene Thursday morning.

The motorcyclist, a man, sadly died in the hospital. The driver of a Volkswagen Tiguan was arrested. They are suspected of causing death by dangerous driving.

Police reported the crash involved a Honda motorcycle and a grey Volkswagen Tiguan. It occurred around 6:55 AM on Faenol Hill, near Penrhos Road.

Emergency services took the motorcyclist to Ysbyty Gwynedd, but he did not survive. His family and the coroner have been notified. The Tiguan driver is currently released under investigation.

Sergeant Liam Morris is asking anyone who saw the crash to come forward. He expressed condolences to the motorcyclist’s family during this tough time.

The A487 was closed for several hours while emergency services worked. It reopened just before 2:30 PM.
