Drivers should prepare for overnight M20 closures in Kent this February due to CCTV upgrades, affecting multiple junctions and routes.
Kent: Drivers need to plan for overnight closures on the M20 this February. National Highways announced these closures for CCTV camera upgrades. The work starts on February 3 and runs until February 28.
The closures will affect the motorway west of Maidstone. Expect disruptions on the coastbound carriageway and various slip roads. The M20 will close at different points between Junction 2 and Junction 6.
National Highways explained that they need to renew the CCTV cameras. These cameras help manage traffic on the M20. To do this safely, they will implement traffic management and diversions.
In addition to the main closures, lanes in both directions will close between Junctions 3 and 5. This will happen from February 10 to February 28. Check the details for diversion routes below.
