Axel Rudakubana has been sentenced for a horrific stabbing incident in Southport, leaving multiple children injured and three tragically dead
Southport: Last year, a sunny day turned into a nightmare. While kids were enjoying a Taylor Swift dance class, Axel Rudakubana was plotting something terrible just a few miles away.
He armed himself with a big kitchen knife and headed to the event. The kids, aged six to thirteen, were excited and unaware of the danger lurking nearby.
Rudakubana took a taxi to the venue, acting strangely. He didn’t even pay the driver, which raised some eyebrows. But no one knew what he was really up to.
When he arrived, he blended in with the crowd. The kids were busy making friendship bracelets, and everything seemed normal until he walked in with that knife.
Suddenly, chaos erupted. He grabbed a 10-year-old girl and started stabbing her. It was horrifying. She survived but had to undergo surgery to save her life.
As he moved through the room, he attacked more children. The instructor, Leanne Lucas, thought he was there for a child until she felt the knife in her back. That’s when panic set in.
Kids were screaming and running for the door. Leanne called for help while trying to get the children to safety. It was a scene of utter terror.
Some kids managed to escape, but not all were so lucky. One little girl, just seven, was pulled back inside and later collapsed from her injuries.
Outside, a mother waiting for her daughter saw the chaos unfold. She quickly grabbed her child and others, but one girl, Alice, tragically died from her wounds the next day.
When police arrived, they found Rudakubana still holding the bloody knife. He was arrested and later showed no remorse, even expressing happiness about the deaths.
This incident shook the community to its core, leaving everyone in disbelief over such a senseless act of violence against innocent children.
