Midlothian: So, there was quite a scene at a shopping park in Bonnyrigg. Police and fire crews had to rush over after smoke started pouring out of a takeaway.

This all went down around 9 am on Tuesday, January 7. About 12 firefighters showed up at Side Street Burger, which is right next to Tesco Express.

You could see the car park taped off, and smoke was coming from the entrance of the burger place while the firefighters worked to put out the flames.

According to the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, they got multiple calls about the fire and sent three pump appliances to handle the situation.

Luckily, no one was hurt, and it seems the fire started in the kitchen. The owner was there too, which must have been a bit stressful for them.
