Cardiff: So, it looks like Wales is in for some wintry weather! The Met Office has put out two weather warnings. One for snow and ice in the west and north, and another just for ice in the south.

The snow warning is in effect until 11 am on Thursday, while the ice warning will wrap up by 10:30 am. With temperatures dropping to around -5°C, it’s no surprise they’re keeping an eye on things.

Thursday is shaping up to be pretty chilly. Expect icy patches in the morning and maybe some fog that takes its sweet time to clear. But hey, there will be some sunny spells too, so it’s not all doom and gloom!

As for the snow, it’s not going to blanket the whole place. The Met Office has these handy maps showing where the snow will hit first. Looks like the north-west will see some flakes around 8:15 am, and by 9:30 am, more of north Wales will join in.

Mid Wales will start seeing snow by 10 am, and it’ll get heavier by 11:45 am. But don’t worry, most of it should be gone by lunchtime. Just keep an eye on the roads if you’re heading out!
