The Met Office warns of freezing temperatures this weekend, with lows of -5C expected in parts of Wales, particularly on Friday.
Wrexham: This weekend is shaping up to be a chilly one. The Met Office has shared that temperatures could drop to -5C in some areas, especially on Friday. It’s going to be a cold snap, but don’t worry, it should warm up a bit by Sunday.
On Saturday morning, expect lows around -3C in parts of Wales. But as the day goes on, things will start to feel a bit warmer. Friday morning was particularly frosty, and there’s even a weather warning for ice.
So, if you’re planning to head out, keep an eye on those temperatures. The coldest spots will be in Wrexham and north Powys, where it could hit -4C. But by the afternoon, places like Aberystwyth and Pembroke will see a slight rise to around 4C.
As the evening rolls in, temperatures will drop again, especially in the north-east. By 9pm, Wrexham could be at -4C, while Pembroke stays a bit warmer at 4C. It’s a bit of a rollercoaster, really!
Moving into Saturday, it’ll start off cold again, but by midday, you might see some sunshine and temperatures reaching 5C. And by Sunday morning, it’ll be a lot milder, with some areas hitting 6C or even 7C by midday.
So, while it’s going to be a cold weekend, just hang in there! Warmer weather is on the way, and it’ll be nice to see some sunshine.
