A late-night police chase in North Staffordshire ended with a Mercedes full of cannabis worth £4,000 and a 20-year-old arrested
Newcastle: So, here’s the scoop. Police found a stash of cannabis worth about £4,000 in a Mercedes after a wild late-night chase. A 20-year-old guy is now in hot water over it.
It all kicked off just after midnight on January 11 when officers tried to pull the car over. But instead of stopping, the driver took off. The chase ended at a roundabout on Clayton Road and Dartmouth Avenue.
StokeonTrentLive reported that paramedics showed up after a crash at the junction. One guy was checked out but didn’t need to go to the hospital. Turns out, two people jumped out of the car, but one was caught nearby on Norwich Place.
When they searched the Mercedes, they found the cannabis. The 20-year-old from Stoke-on-Trent was arrested for a bunch of things, including dangerous driving and possession with intent to supply.
The investigation is still ongoing. If anyone knows something, they should call 101 and mention incident 1 from January 11.
