Washington D.C.: Melania Trump’s official White House portrait is making waves. It was released this week and has everyone talking, even on the show Loose Women.
On Wednesday, the panel discussed the black and white image. Janet Street Porter, Judi Love, Mariella Frostrup, and Charlene White shared their thoughts.
Janet called the picture “powerful” and even asked if Melania is the new Mona Lisa. Mariella disagreed, saying Melania needs to do more to earn the title of ‘powerful’ and should speak out more.
Judi added her take, saying Melania’s real message might be her marriage to a powerful man. She noted that Melania has her own career as a model, which adds to her strength.
Judi also mentioned that many see Melania as a fashion icon. She looked stunning at the Inauguration, and that visual appeal might be her power.
Charlene agreed, saying people shouldn’t overlook the power of fashion. She noted that Melania looks incredibly strong in that pose.
However, Mariella maintained her stance, suggesting that Melania is “harnessing the power” by staying silent. She questioned if people should be swayed by her image.
Charlene played devil’s advocate, saying the portrait might make people take Melania more seriously this time around. She reminded everyone that Melania has shared her political views before, including in her autobiography.
Trump and Melania returned to the White House earlier this month after his victory. Melania mentioned she has “much more experience” this time.
Last year, she told Fox & Friends that her priorities are being a mom, a First Lady, and a wife, while also balancing her time between New York and Palm Beach.
