Police are investigating the death of Carl Sheldon, 33, found at a hostel in Shelton, with two men previously arrested on suspicion of manslaughter.
Shelton: So, here’s the scoop. Police kicked off a manslaughter investigation after a 33-year-old guy named Carl Sheldon was found dead at a bail hostel in Stoke-on-Trent. They even arrested two men on suspicion of manslaughter and dealing drugs, but those guys were let go without any charges later on.
This week, an inquest revealed that Carl actually died of natural causes. He was discovered slumped on the floor of the Wharf Lane hostel. The coroner, Sukhdev Garcha, looked into it and confirmed that Carl’s death was due to a cardiac arrest caused by ventricular fibrillation.
He explained that Carl had some chronic issues related to substance use, but ultimately, it was a heart problem that took him. The whole thing happened back on March 8, 2021, and now we know it was just one of those tragic situations.
It’s a sad story, and it really makes you think about how quickly things can change. If you want to stay updated on court news, there’s always more to learn.
