Mansfield: A priest was kicked out of his church for a controversial salute. Calvin Robinson made the gesture while speaking at a pro-life summit in Washington, D.C. It looked similar to a salute made by Elon Musk at a rally.

The church, the Anglo Catholic Church (ACC), revoked Robinson’s license. They said he is no longer serving as a priest. The church was alerted about the salute through a post on X, the platform owned by Musk.

The ACC stated that Robinson had been warned before about his online behavior. They believe his actions were meant to provoke certain political groups. The church condemned any actions that mimic Nazi ideology, calling them harmful and divisive.

Robinson responded on X, claiming he is still a priest. He clarified that his license was revoked, which means he can’t serve in about 250 ACC churches. He urged his followers not to send abusive messages to the bishops.

He emphasized the importance of not becoming what they oppose. Good Christians should expose wrongdoing without being consumed by it.
