Haverfordwest: So, there was this wild night at a pub where a guy named Timothy Phillips just lost it. He was out having a good time, but then he ended up punching another guy in the face. Crazy, right?

The court heard that Phillips didn’t even remember being at the pub. He only realized he was there when he saw his bank card had been used. Talk about a blackout!

The judge was pretty serious about it, saying Phillips could have really hurt the other guy, maybe even caused brain damage. The victim shared how unsettling it was to be attacked out of nowhere. It’s a real wake-up call about how unpredictable life can be.

So, this all went down on September 16 last year. The victim was just dancing and having fun when Phillips put his arm around him. Then, out of nowhere, he started throwing punches. Six or seven uppercuts, just like that!

After the attack, the poor guy ended up at the hospital with a nasty cut on his lip and some broken facial bones. He was just trying to enjoy a night out with friends, and then bam! Random violence strikes.

Phillips claimed he was acting in self-defense, saying he felt threatened. But he ended up pleading guilty to unlawful wounding. His lawyer tried to argue for a lighter sentence, saying it was out of character for him.

In the end, the judge gave him a nine-month prison sentence, but it was suspended for a year. He also has to do 200 hours of community service and pay the victim £1,500. It’s a tough lesson learned for everyone involved.
