A man humorously tossed a snowman onto a house fire as neighbors rushed to help extinguish the flames caused by a bed catching fire.
Smoke was pouring out of the house, and it was pretty chaotic. The police had already been called earlier because someone shot off fireworks at the front door. Then, things escalated when another firework was launched into the house.
Firefighters got there super quick, just two minutes after the call came in. They suited up and went inside with hoses. They managed to rescue one person, while two others had already made it out. One person ended up needing hospital treatment, but thankfully, everyone else was okay.
One neighbor, who was just chilling at home playing Football Manager, heard a loud bang and rushed out to help. He mentioned that the folks living there usually keep to themselves, but everyone came together to help. It was a bit of a funny moment when someone tossed the snowman onto the fire, which was apparently made by the guy’s kid.
Another neighbor, who had lived on the street for ages, said it was the first time he’d seen anything like this. He was just about to hit the hay when he heard the commotion. People were handing out fire extinguishers and doing their best to help before the fire trucks showed up.
Detective Inspector Steve Street said it could have been a lot worse, and while no one was seriously hurt, the residents were understandably shaken up. They’re still trying to figure out what exactly happened and are asking anyone with info to come forward. It’s a reminder of how a community can come together in tough times, even if it involves a snowman!
