A man has been banned from driving for three years after failing to stop for police in Barton, leading to a pursuit and subsequent arrest.
Barton: So, there was this guy, Mark Scaife, who just got hit with a three-year driving ban. It all went down in Barton-upon-Humber. He was in court in Grimsby and, man, it wasn’t pretty.
Last year, on October 19, the police spotted him driving all suspicious-like. They tried to pull him over, but he just kept going. That’s when things got a bit wild.
After a short chase, they finally stopped him. Turns out, he was arrested for a bunch of stuff, including driving while unfit due to drink and even theft of a vehicle. Not a good look!
PC Alex Bower, who was on the case, made it clear that keeping the roads safe is super important. It’s not just during the holidays when people might be drinking more; it’s a year-round thing.
He urged anyone who thinks someone’s driving under the influence to call 999 right away. Better safe than sorry, right?
