County Durham: A man was rushed to the hospital after two crashes on the A19 near Castle Eden. It sounds pretty serious, and the road is closed right now.
The first crash happened early this morning, around 4:53 AM. Durham Constabulary confirmed that one of the collisions was quite serious.
They’re asking drivers to steer clear of the area and find another route while they sort everything out. They’ll keep us posted on when the road will reopen.
The North East Ambulance Service got the call just before 5 AM. They sent out a double crewed ambulance and a clinical team leader to help.
One patient was taken to North Tees Hospital for treatment. It’s a tough situation, but they’re on it.
