A serious multi-vehicle crash on the A13 near Wennington has left one man hospitalized and caused significant traffic delays this morning.
Wennington: So, there was this big crash on the A13 today, and it was a real mess. A bunch of cars and a van got tangled up, and it caused a major traffic jam.
It all started early this morning, around 6:52 AM. The eastbound side was completely blocked, and folks were stuck in their cars for ages. The pile-up stretched from Rainham to Wennington, making things even worse.
People were reporting that there were six cars involved, and it looked pretty bad, with two of them having their roofs cut off. Yikes! Traffic was backed up all the way to Dagenham.
Emergency services were quick to respond. The London Ambulance Service got the call at 7:09 AM and sent out a bunch of resources, including paramedics and an incident response officer.
They treated one man at the scene before taking him to the hospital. Thankfully, the police said there were no serious injuries reported, but they’re still looking into what happened.
