Haverfordwest: So, there’s this guy, Jason Birch, who got himself into some serious trouble. He had a bunch of really disturbing videos and pictures on his phone, all involving animals. I mean, it’s just stomach churning stuff.

It all went down when the police showed up at his place on October 13, 2021. They found three Samsung phones packed with 137 extreme pornographic images. Can you believe that?

During the court hearing, the prosecutor laid it all out. They talked about some pretty graphic stuff, like a man doing unspeakable things to a dog and a horse. Birch initially tried to play it off like he was framed, but eventually, he pleaded guilty to possessing extreme pornography.

He didn’t have any previous convictions, which is surprising given the nature of his offenses. His lawyer mentioned that there was a huge delay in getting the case to court, which the judge found ridiculous.

Judge Paul Thomas didn’t hold back, calling the images “stomach churning” and saying Birch clearly had a long-standing issue with this kind of behavior. In the end, he got a four-month sentence, but it’s suspended for two years. He also has to do some rehabilitation work.

Interestingly, Birch’s partner, Rachel Brown, was also charged but denied the allegations. The court ended up dropping the case against her, so she walked away without any charges.
