A man has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder following a shooting incident in Essex last year
Waltham Abbey: So, there’s this guy, Hamidreza Nasiri, who’s in a bit of hot water. He showed up in court recently and said he didn’t try to murder anyone, even after a shooting incident last November.
It all went down on Howard Close, right around 3:30 PM. Emergency services got the call and rushed over when they heard someone had been shot. The poor guy ended up in the hospital, but thankfully, his leg injury wasn’t life-threatening.
Nasiri, who lives in Enfield, is facing some serious charges, including attempted murder and having a firearm with the intent to cause harm. He denied everything when he appeared at Basildon Crown Court back in January.
They’ve set a trial date for April 14, so we’ll see how that goes. Interestingly, two other folks—a 54-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman—got arrested too. They’re in trouble for conspiracy to commit murder but are out on bail for now.
Essex Police’s Tim Tubbs mentioned that he understands how alarming this must have been for the locals who witnessed the whole thing from their homes. It’s definitely a situation that’s got everyone talking.
