A man faces serious charges, including rape, following an incident in Birmingham. He’s due in court soon to answer these allegations.
Birmingham: A man has been charged with rape after a troubling incident near the One Stop Shopping Centre in Perry Barr. This happened early on Saturday, January 18.
The accused, Cornel Filipeche, is just 21 years old and doesn’t have a fixed address. He’s also facing charges for robbery and causing serious injury. Right now, he’s in police custody.
He’s expected to appear in court today, January 23. The police confirmed that he’s been charged following the incident on Walsall Road in Birmingham.
In a statement, they mentioned that Cornel has been charged with multiple offenses. He remains in custody and will face Birmingham Magistrates’ Court.

Interestingly, another man, 22, was arrested on January 20 on suspicion of rape but has since been released on bail while investigations continue.
