A man has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing incident in Birmingham left a 69-year-old victim seriously injured
Birmingham: A man was seriously hurt in a stabbing on Whitehall Road in Small Heath. It all went down early on a Monday morning, January 20. Emergency services rushed to the scene after getting the call.
The West Midlands Ambulance Service sent out an ambulance, a paramedic officer, and a trauma team. They found the 69-year-old man with stab wounds and treated him right there before taking him to the hospital.
A spokesperson for the ambulance service mentioned they got the call at 1:20 AM about the stabbing. The victim received trauma care on-site before being taken for more treatment.
Now, West Midlands Police is treating this as an attempted murder case. A 36-year-old man named Marcus Chambers, who lives on Whitehall Road, has been charged and is set to appear in court.
The police confirmed they were called to the scene around 1:25 AM. The victim is still in the hospital, and Chambers was due in front of city magistrates the following day.
