A man has been charged after police found dangerous items in his car, leading to a street lockdown in Glasgow
Glasgow: A man got into some serious trouble after police stopped his car on a busy street. They found some potentially dangerous items inside, which led to a lockdown.
The 55-year-old was taken into custody after the incident on Great Western Road. It all went down around 6:30 PM, and the police had to cordon off the area for safety.
According to reports, the items were checked out and turned out to be safe, but it was a tense situation for a bit. The street was closed off in both directions, and no one could get near.
Witnesses saw the car parked with its doors and trunk open while officers kept watch. After a while, the area was reopened, and the man is now facing charges related to road traffic offences.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland confirmed the details and said the man would be reported to the Procurator Fiscal. It’s a reminder that things can escalate quickly, even in everyday situations.
