A man faces drug charges after police discovered crack cocaine and heroin in stolen vehicles during a raid in Toxteth
Toxteth: Leroy Parris got himself into a bit of trouble after a police raid on January 4. The cops were looking into some drug activity when they stumbled upon a stolen Land Rover and BMW.
When the officers searched the vehicles, they found a stash of crack cocaine and heroin, plus a Taser. Parris, who’s 41 and lives on Carter Street, was arrested right there on the spot.
He’s now facing some serious charges, including being involved in the supply of those drugs. After his arrest, he was taken to court and is currently in custody.
Detective Sergeant Kieran Connolly made it clear that drug gangs have no regard for the people in the community. He emphasized how important it is to keep pushing back against drug dealing and protect vulnerable folks.
This bust was part of Operation Toxic, which is a bigger effort called Project Medusa aimed at tackling drug dealing and exploitation across the country.
If you know anything about drug activity in your area, don’t hesitate to reach out to the police or Crimestoppers. In an emergency, always call 999.
