A 27-year-old man was caught with a large stash of cash and cocaine hidden in his car in Brentford, West London, leading to serious charges.
Brentford: So, there’s this guy, Gleni Goleci, who got himself into a real pickle. He was driving around with a whopping £50,000 and two kilos of cocaine stashed away in a secret compartment in his car. Talk about a bad day!
He’s 27 and originally from Albania. The police, specifically the National Crime Agency and the Metropolitan Police, pulled him over on January 7. They found all that cash and the drugs hidden in the boot of his car. Pretty clever hiding spot, but not clever enough!
But wait, it gets crazier. They later found another six kilos of cocaine and about £150,000 in cash at a flat in Brentford. Yikes! Gleni was arrested and now faces some serious charges related to drugs and possession of criminal property.
He had his first court appearance at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on January 9 and is now waiting for his next court date at Isleworth Crown Court on February 6. Not looking good for him!
Andrew Tickner from the NCA said that these busts are a big deal. They’re hoping this will stop the organized crime group behind all this from making more money and causing more trouble in London.
