A boy is in critical condition after being sprayed with a substance in Anfield, leading to an arrest of a 30-year-old man
Emergency services rushed to Harrow Road around 7:30 PM on Saturday, December 28. Reports say three males entered a home and targeted the boy.
Along with the spray, he suffered slash wounds to his head, back, and buttocks. Thankfully, he’s expected to leave the hospital soon.
Merseyside Police arrested a 30-year-old man on suspicion of conspiring to cause grievous bodily harm. He’s been bailed while the investigation continues.
The substance used in the attack is being tested, and police are eager to find out what it was. Detective Inspector Michael Fletcher mentioned it seems to be a targeted attack.
The community is understandably worried, but police are on it. They believe the suspects wore tracksuits and had face coverings, speaking with Liverpool accents.
