Drivers in Kent should prepare for multiple road closures this weekend
Faversham: This weekend, drivers in Kent are facing a bunch of road closures. It’s all happening on major motorways and A-roads, so plan ahead!
From Friday night through Sunday, key routes like the A2, A249, M20, and M2 will be affected. For instance, the A2 Brenley Corner will be closed from 8 PM to 6 AM for maintenance on both Saturday and Sunday nights.
Over in Sittingbourne, the A249 Grovehurst Road is also getting some upgrades. The northbound exit and southbound entry slips are closed until January 18, so keep that in mind if you’re heading that way.
This Saturday, the QEII Bridge at the Dartford Crossing will close overnight for essential maintenance. It’ll be shut from 10 PM to 5 AM, affecting both tunnels, so expect some detours.
There are also several other closures to watch out for, like the A2 westbound link road and various sections of the M20 and M26. It’s a busy weekend for roadworks!
