Quiz is reportedly on the brink of administration, risking 1,500 jobs and 60 stores.
London: Quiz is in serious trouble. Reports say it might go into administration soon. This comes after the brand left the London Stock Exchange. If it happens, around 1,500 jobs could be at risk.
Quiz has 60 stores, and many could close. Some sources mention a “pre-pack insolvency move.” Last week, it was suggested that one-third of its stores might shut down. The company has only £2.3 million in liquidity and £400,000 in cash reserves.
No official word has come from Quiz yet. The Daily Star has reached out for comments. This news adds to the struggles of the high street. WHSmith is also selling all its UK stores, and Sainsbury’s is closing cafes and cutting 3,000 jobs.
