Motorists face delays on the M4 due to roadworks, with closures affecting key areas throughout the week
Newport: This week, parts of the M4 are going to be closed for roadworks. They’re doing some repairs, and while most of the work happens overnight, some drivers might still run into issues.
The closures will hit areas like Coldra to Magor, Malpas, and High Cross. If you’re driving in these spots, it’s a good idea to give yourself some extra time to get where you’re going.
Traffic Wales has laid out all the M4 closures for this week, starting January 13. They’ve also mentioned some major closures in England that could affect your journey.
For instance, the M4 eastbound from J24 Coldra to J23A Magor will be closed for maintenance from January 14 to January 16, between 8 PM and 6 AM. Diversions are set up, so keep an eye out.
Also, the westbound onslip at J26 Malpas will be closed from January 13 to January 14 during the same hours. And don’t forget about the eastbound offslip at J27 High Cross, which will be shut from January 15 to January 16.
In England, there are also planned roadworks that could cause some disruption, so it’s best to stay updated if you’re traveling that way.
