Kingussie: So, there are two lynx running around in the Cairngorms National Park, and folks are being told to keep their distance. It seems like they might have been let loose illegally, which is pretty concerning.

The park authority got wind of this on Wednesday evening and is now working with the police to figure out what’s going on. They’ve reassured everyone that these lynx are shy and not really a threat to people, but it’s still best to avoid them if you spot one.

A spokesperson mentioned that they’re really against the illegal release of wild animals and are worried about the lynx’s well-being. They’re asking anyone who sees the lynx to stay away and not to go looking for them.

Highland Wildlife Park is also involved, helping to track down the animals. They’ve echoed the advice to keep your distance if you happen to see them.

Police Scotland is on the case too. They’ve asked anyone with info to reach out. If you see the lynx, just call the police instead of trying to approach them. It’s definitely a situation to take seriously!
