Darts prodigy Luke Littler joins Olympic champion Keely Hodgkinson on the BBC Sports Personality of the Year shortlist, showcasing an incredible year of achievements.
Salford: Big news in the sports world! Luke Littler, just 17, is on the shortlist for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year award. He’s up against some serious talent, including Olympic champ Keely Hodgkinson.
Littler has had a stellar year, becoming the youngest player to reach the PDC World Championship final. Even though he didn’t win, he bounced back strong, taking home the Premier League title and the Grand Slam of Darts.
Hodgkinson is also making waves, having set a new British record in the 800 meters and snagging gold at the European Championships. If she wins, it’ll be a historic fourth consecutive win for female athletes.
The shortlist features other big names too, like Jude Bellingham and Joe Root, making it a tough competition. Fans will get to vote for their favorite during the live show on December 17.
