A prison officer in London has been sentenced to 15 months for engaging in sexual acts with an inmate inside a cell
London: So, there’s this wild story about a prison officer named Linda De Sousa Abreu. She got herself into some serious trouble for having sex with an inmate in a cell. Can you believe it? She’s only 30 and now facing 15 months behind bars.
The whole thing blew up when a video of their encounter made its way onto social media. That’s when the police stepped in. They found out about the video while investigating what went down at HMP Wandsworth.
Linda was arrested and later pleaded guilty to misconduct in public office. She showed up at Isleworth Crown Court last July and got her sentence just recently. The court said she really messed up by abusing the trust placed in her as a prison officer.
This all happened between June 26 and 28. Funny enough, she was caught at Heathrow Airport, all set to fly to Madrid. She had even told the prison about her travel plans. Talk about a bad decision!
