Goats, sheep, and geese have vanished from a Longport Road plot, leaving locals puzzled and concerned about their whereabouts.
Stoke-on-Trent: Goats that lived on Longport Road have disappeared. They shared their space with sheep and geese since 2023.
Locals noticed they were missing last week. No one knows where they went or who moved them.
A sign now reads: “Please do not throw food peelings as there are no animals here that require feeding at this time.”
Nikki McKenzie, a neighbor, expressed her sadness. She used to feed them leftover veggies and biscuits. She hopes they return soon.
She said, “They were lovely. People came to feed them, and they never caused trouble. The owner took good care of them.”
At one point, there were about ten goats, three sheep, and a couple of geese. They were well looked after, but the area wasn’t perfect for them.
Nikki added, “The babies used to escape but always came back. The owner made sure they couldn’t get out anymore.”
StokeonTrentLive has tried to reach the owner but hasn’t had any luck.
