Two men from Somerset face trial for the murder of a festival worker in Swansea
Swansea: So, here’s the scoop. Two young guys from Somerset are in court right now, facing some serious charges. They’re accused of murdering a festival worker named Andrew Main. He was just 33 and sadly passed away after getting hurt last July.
These guys, Joseph Dix and Macauley Ruddock, were first hit with charges for causing serious harm. But after Andrew died, they got slapped with murder charges instead. They’re denying it all and are currently on trial at Swansea Crown Court, which is expected to last about two weeks.
Andrew, who was originally from Falkirk in Scotland, was attacked in the early hours of July 17, 2024. He was rushed to a hospital in Cardiff and later moved to Edinburgh, where he sadly died. His sister, Nikki, has shared some heartfelt words about him, saying he was loved by many and will always be remembered.
She described him as a loyal brother, a fun uncle, and a supportive dad to his kids. It’s clear that his loss has hit the community hard, but they’re coming together to support each other during this tough time.
Stay tuned for updates on the trial as we follow along!
