Swansea: Two men are on trial for the murder of Andrew Main, a festival worker. Andrew, who was from Falkirk, Scotland, sadly passed away in the hospital nearly a month after the incident in July last year.

The accused are Joseph Dix, 26, from Frome, Somerset, and 27-year-old Macauley Ruddock from Bath. They were initially charged with causing serious harm but later faced murder charges after Andrew’s death. Both men deny the charges and are currently in court at Swansea Crown.

Andrew was taken to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff with severe head injuries after the incident on Princess Way in the early hours of July 17, 2024. He was later moved to a hospital in Edinburgh, where he died.

After his passing, Andrew’s sister, Nikki, shared a heartfelt tribute. She described him as someone who was deeply loved by family and friends. Nikki said he had a big heart and was a fantastic brother, uncle, and dad to his two kids. The loss has left a huge gap in their lives, but the community has come together to support each other during this tough time.
