The Laceby car dealership is set to undergo changes that may improve local conditions for residents.
Laceby: A local car garage is gearing up for some changes, but don’t worry, customers probably won’t notice much. Marshall Motor Group is looking to shake things up a bit.
They’ve put in plans to make some alterations, like tearing down a few stores and building two new ones at their BMW, Mini, and Motorrad dealership on Grimsby Road. One of the new areas will be a valet and wash bay, which will be tucked away in the south-west corner.
There’s also going to be a storage building for overnight deliveries, but that’s just for staff. They’ll be adding a substation, removing some lean-to extensions from the workshop, and shifting around some doors to make things flow better.
Don’t worry about customer access or parking; that’ll stay the same. The showrooms aren’t getting bigger either. Right now, the garage has 68 full-time staff, and that number won’t change after the updates.
They’re even planning to up the parking spaces from 30 to 36 and add ten new bike spots. This might be good news for folks living nearby, as they’ve raised concerns about staff parking on their streets, even with a shuttle service in place.
