Los Angeles: A suspect has been arrested for starting a fire in West Hollywood Hills. This blaze, known as the Kenneth Fire, has already destroyed homes and threatened many celebrity properties.

The LAPD got involved after locals reported a man trying to ignite a fire on Ybarra Road. Residents jumped in to help, tackling the suspect until the police arrived. While we don’t know who the suspect is yet, the LAPD is looking into whether they’re linked to other fires in the area.

Initially, officials were hesitant to call it arson, but with the recent arrest, things are changing. LA District Attorney Nathan Hochman promised swift justice, aiming for the maximum penalty. The LAPD confirmed they’re treating this as a serious crime.

The Kenneth Fire has spread over 960 acres, dangerously close to Malibu Canyon and the 101 Freeway. Celebrities like Kourtney Kardashian and Will Smith are in the fire’s path, with Kim and Khloe Kardashian nearby in Hidden Hills.

The fire started around 2 PM and quickly grew, forcing evacuations as firefighters battled the flames from the air. Unfortunately, strong Santa Ana winds made it tough to contain the fire, causing it to spread even more.

As the situation worsens, residents are being warned to prepare for more evacuations. With the death toll from California wildfires rising, locals are advised to gather important documents and belongings. It’s a tough time for everyone in the area, and the community is coming together to face this challenge.
