Police are investigating suspicious activity in Kent’s woodland, closing the A-road near the M20 for safety.
Kent: Police are looking into some strange activity in a wooded area. The A-road near the M20 has been closed since yesterday.
Officers got a call around 11:45 AM on Sunday about this suspicious activity. It happened just off the A227 Gravesend Road.
The road remains closed today. A police spokesperson said they are checking out some unusual soil in the nearby woods.
Because of this, the road is shut at the junctions with Vigo Hill and Fairseat Lane. Drivers should find other routes for now.
The suggested detour is via the M20 to Junction 4, then the A228 to Rochester, and finally the A227 from Gravesend.
