London: So, you heard about Jordan North, right? The radio DJ jumped into the River Thames to save a puppy. But then he got into a bit of trouble himself and had to be rescued by the RNLI. Crazy, right?

It all went down near Hammersmith Bridge. A bystander saw him jump in and called for help. Luckily, the RNLI was nearby and got there super fast—like within three minutes! They found Jordan on a float with the puppy, and people were shining their phone lights to help out.

On his show, Jordan was really thankful to the RNLI. He said he was starting to panic a bit and was glad they showed up when they did. He called them the real heroes, which is pretty sweet of him.

But not everyone was on his side. Some folks criticized him for being “selfish” for needing to be rescued after saving the dog. Jordan cleared things up on air, saying he didn’t just jump in. He explained that he climbed over a fence to get to the jetty and ended up stuck. He even mentioned that the RNLI has a video of the whole thing.

Despite the haters, most people have been really supportive. Jordan’s been getting recognized everywhere, even at the gym! He joked about how taxi drivers are treating him to rides now. It’s wild how one act of bravery can change things for you.

By the way, the RNLI is doing their Christmas fundraising right now. They launch lifeboats over a hundred times during the holiday season, so it’s a good time to show them some love.
