Cardiff: Joanna Page is opening up about her family plans. Even after having her tubes tied, she’s been chatting with her husband, James, about possibly having more kids.

In a recent chat with Woman and Home magazine, she shared that she’s still feeling very maternal. Joanna has four kids already, but the thought of fostering or adopting has crossed her mind.

She mentioned that a health check earlier this year was a big moment for her. It showed that her right ovary wasn’t functioning anymore, which made her feel like her body was signaling the end of that chapter.

Joanna also talked about being prescribed HRT patches after seeing a menopause doctor. She was a bit scared to use them, thinking it might mean no more kids, even though she’s already had her tubes tied.

She admitted to feeling down and depressed, but it wasn’t the hot flashes that bothered her; it was her mood. Earlier this year, she felt broody, but after her son was born and she had the procedure, she didn’t think about it much anymore.

Joanna joked about looking up if it’s possible to reverse the procedure. She found out that one in 200 women might get pregnant after having their tubes reconnected. When she told James, he was shocked and said, “You what?” So, she’s decided she won’t be having more kids.

With four young ones—Eva, Kit, Noah, and Boe—Joanna is scaling back her acting gigs to focus more on family. She even joked about nearly divorcing James during the lockdown because they struggled to find time for each other with the kids at home.

They had some tough moments, including a month of not speaking. But now, they’re back on track. You can catch Joanna in Gavin and Stacey on BBC One this Christmas!
