Gavin & Stacey’s Joanna Page delighted locals by pulling a pint and sharing laughs at a Carmarthenshire pub
Llansteffan: So, guess what? Joanna Page, you know, the star from Gavin & Stacey, popped into a pub and totally stole the show! Paul Norman, the landlord of the Castle Inn, shared a fun video of her pulling a pint, and it’s just too good to miss.
This little adventure happened back in August, but Paul decided to share it recently to celebrate the Gavin & Stacey finale. Joanna was there with Wynne Evans, filming for a new series called Lost at Sea, where they explore the beautiful Welsh coastline.
There wasn’t any camera crew around, just Joanna and Wynne enjoying a drink after a long day of filming. Paul mentioned that Joanna had never pulled a pint before, so he invited her to give it a shot. She went for a pint of Cwrw Llansteffan, and let me tell you, she was a bit nervous about it!
In the video, she joked about the foam on her pint, saying, “Good God, look at the head on this.” But Paul was super encouraging, telling her it wasn’t bad for a first try. Everyone in the pub had a good laugh, and Joanna was just lovely, chatting with the locals and brightening up the place.
Paul also shared how nice it was to see Wynne back in his hometown. He’s from Carmarthen and has fond memories of visiting Llansteffan. The show is all about showcasing the Welsh coast, and they even visited Tenby too!
When asked about the end of Gavin & Stacey, Paul said he’s been a fan of Joanna since her role in Love Actually. He thought the show wrapped up perfectly, even if we still don’t know what happened on that fishing trip!
Paul, who’s been running the Castle Inn for seven years, is hopeful that the Lost at Sea series will bring more visitors to Llansteffan. He mentioned how beautiful the area is, with its castle, beaches, and lovely walks. It used to be a hidden gem, but now everyone knows about it!
