Cardiff: So, there’s just five days left until the last ever episode of Gavin & Stacey airs on Christmas Day. Fans are buzzing to see how it all wraps up. The cast has been super tight-lipped about spoilers, but Joanna Page, who plays Stacey, almost let something slip during a live TV chat.

She was on BBC Morning Live with Gethin Jones, and when he asked her about the finale, she nearly spilled the beans. Joanna confirmed it’s the final episode and said, “It’s been so emotional, just saying goodbye to everybody.” She got a bit carried away and almost revealed a detail about her character’s scene.

Joanna mentioned, “When I read the script and I saw that I’m sitting with Ruth, she’s playing the mouth organ and I’m in the rickshaw at the back, I was just like ‘oh we are back with a bang!’ this is brilliant.” Fans are definitely eager to see that moment!

In the trailer for the Christmas special, you can catch a glimpse of Stacey in the rickshaw. Joanna also shared a funny story about when she first read the script for the finale. She was driving home from another job and had to pull over at a service station to check her phone.

She was waiting for a burger when the script popped up, and she thought, “Oh my God, everyone here would love to see this!” After grabbing her food, she read the first half in her car, then moved to another service station to avoid a parking fine while finishing it.

She was so excited that she started voice noting Ruth Jones, saying things like, “Oh my god, I can’t believe this!” It sounds like the finale is going to be a real treat for fans!
