James Corden hints at the future of Gavin & Stacey during a recent BBC Breakfast interview, leaving fans eager for more details
London: So, James Corden just dropped some big news about Gavin & Stacey on BBC Breakfast. He was chatting with the cast in a pre-recorded segment, and it was pretty emotional.
When asked about filming the finale, James, who plays Smithy, shared how amazing it felt but also how sad it was. He said he keeps thinking, “Oh God, we’re not going to be doing this again!”
He also teased that it can’t go on after this, saying, “We can’t see a way how it could, you’ll have to wait and see!” Sounds like there’s a lot to look forward to!
James mentioned that the new episode isn’t set at Christmas this time. They’ve already done two Christmas specials, so this one picks up right after the last episode. No time travel or anything like that.
Ruth Jones, who co-wrote the show, hinted that viewers will understand why this is the last episode when they see it. She said, “When you see it, you’ll understand why.”
Gavin & Stacey first hit our screens back in 2007 and has been a fan favorite ever since. The original cast is back for this finale, so it’s a must-watch for all the fans out there!
Mark your calendars! Gavin & Stacey airs on Christmas Day at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. Don’t miss it!
