Llandovery: A new drama called Out There is making waves on ITV1, and guess what? It was filmed entirely in Wales! Martin Clunes takes the lead role, and the show kicks off at 9pm on Sunday, January 19.

The plot centers around a farmer who’s battling against drug issues in his rural area. Martin’s character faces some pretty dark challenges, and he’s joined by a talented Welsh cast.

They filmed in various beautiful spots across Wales. You’ll see farms in Llangattock, near Crickhowell, and Llyswen, close to Brecon. If you’re into TV and showbiz, don’t forget to sign up for the latest gossip!

Interestingly, Llandovery in Carmarthenshire is a key location, along with Newport, Trefil near Merthyr Tydfil, Port Talbot, Swansea, Cardiff, and Bettws near Bridgend.

For the indoor scenes, they used Dragon Studios in Cardiff. Martin shared how much he loved filming in Wales, saying the locations were stunning and he felt right at home in the countryside.

He also touched on the serious issue of county lines crime, which is a big part of the story. His character’s son gets tangled up in the dangerous world of drug dealing. Martin explained that the setting in Wales reflects themes of boundaries and threats, which are relevant nationwide.

Carly-Sophia, who plays Sadie Simpson, is from Port Talbot and shared her excitement about filming in her hometown. She loved seeing familiar places in a new light and felt a deeper connection to her roots.

She mentioned that the house in the show is just around the corner from her old school, and the chip shop they filmed in was her go-to spot during lunch breaks. It sounds like a really special experience for her!
