EG Group has appointed Bob Dennis as a new board member to enhance its growth strategy and oversee audit and risk management
Once the audit for FY2024 wraps up, Bob will take charge of the audit and risk committee in the spring. Alison Carnwath will still be around as a non-executive director after her four years as audit chair.
Bob’s got quite the background. He’s a retired partner from KPMG, where he led the energy and industrial products sector. He spent a lot of time in Denver, Colorado, and has 38 years of experience under his belt. He’s worked with big names in the energy, transportation, and food sectors, which is super relevant since the US is EG Group’s biggest market.
Stuart Rose, the chairman of EG Group, is thrilled about Bob joining the team. He believes Bob’s experience with major companies will be a huge asset as they push for growth.
Bob himself is excited too. He sees EG Group as a leader in the sector and is eager to help the company reach its full potential. Founded in 2001 by brothers Mohsin and Zuber Issa, EG Group has grown into a major player in convenience retail, partnering with global brands and running over 5,500 sites across Europe, the USA, and Australia.
