A woman was bitten by a dog in South Shields, prompting a police investigation and an appeal for witnesses to come forward
South Shields: So, there’s been a bit of a scare in South Shields. A woman got bitten on the leg by a dog, and now the police are on the case.
This happened on a Sunday evening, between 5 and 5:30 PM, while she was out for a walk near Trow Quarry car park. Can you believe it? Just minding her own business when a dog came up and bit her!
The dog is described as a tan and white bulldog type, wearing a black harness but no lead. The guy with the dog just took off after the incident. Not cool, right?
The woman, who’s in her 40s, had to go to the hospital twice for treatment. The police are really trying to track down the dog and its owner, who they think is in his 50s.
