Twins Kailum and Kieran Nightingale jailed for manslaughter of Shane Boxall
Hull: Two identical twins have been sentenced for the tragic death of a grandfather. Shane Boxall, a father of nine, was attacked in his own home.
The twins, Kailum and Kieran Nightingale, went to buy drugs but felt cheated when they didn’t get what they paid for. They slipped £150 through the letterbox but got nothing in return.
In a fit of rage, they forced their way inside to confront Mr. Boxall. One twin punched him in the head while the other egged him on. It’s heartbreaking to think they knew he had serious health issues.
Shane Boxall had previously undergone surgery to remove part of his skull. Despite warnings from others in the house, the twins didn’t hold back. They were told he was vulnerable, but that didn’t stop them.
After the punch, Mr. Boxall fell and started having seizures. Paramedics rushed him to the hospital, but sadly, he passed away two days later. The punch was deemed fatal.
In court, the judge expressed how tragic and unnecessary Shane’s death was. He was loved by many, and his family will never be the same without him. The twins received significant prison sentences, but it’s hard to see how that can ever make up for the loss.
Both twins had previous run-ins with the law, but this incident was particularly shocking. They didn’t testify during the trial, which left many questions unanswered. It’s a sad reminder of how quickly things can spiral out of control.
