Iain Stirling comments on Marcel Sommerville’s age as Love Island All Stars returns
London: So, Iain Stirling, the voice of Love Island, recently threw some shade at Marcel Sommerville during a chat on Good Morning Britain. He was asked how he felt about Marcel being older than him, which is a first for the show.
Iain, who’s 36, joked about the nostalgia of seeing older Islanders. Susanna Reid, the host, pointed out that it’s a bit like seeing younger policemen. Iain quipped back, saying, “But, older than me! You shouldn’t be older than me and doing Love Island.”
Marcel, who’s 39 and part of the returning cast for the All Stars series, has a history with the show. He was previously linked with Gabby Allen from series three. Now, he’s back in the villa, ready for more drama.
Marcel shared that he thought he had found his happily ever after but felt drawn back to the show. He’s learned a lot since his first stint, even calling himself “Dr. Marcel” for giving love advice back then. Now, he’s ready to soak up some wisdom himself.
