A significant gas leak in Hunts Cross has led to a 500 metre cordon and evacuations as emergency services respond to the situation
Hunts Cross: There’s a gas leak causing quite a stir in the area. A 500 metre cordon has been set up around an industrial site on Fleming Road. Fire crews rushed in around 2:02 PM today to handle what they’re calling a gas escape.
With the cordon in place, Merseyside Police have blocked off parts of Woodend Avenue, Hillfoot Avenue, and Kingsthorne Park. Cadent Gas is also on the scene, making sure everything is under control. They’ve evacuated all the workers from the site and nearby buildings.
