Dublin: So, it looks like a lot of folks in south-west Dublin are dealing with some water issues today. A reservoir interruption is causing disruptions for many homes.

The affected areas stretch from Kilnamanagh in Tallaght all the way to Scholarstown Road in Knocklyon. Uisce Eireann is on it, but they say it’ll take until about 3:30 PM to fix things up.

They’ve put out a notice saying that the water supply might be off for a bit, so if you’re in those areas, you might want to fill up some containers just in case.

With this cold snap hitting, it’s not just Dublin. There are reports of up to 30,000 homes across places like Kerry and Wexford also without water. Crews are working hard to get everything back to normal.

Uisce Eireann is asking everyone to save water where they can. They suggest checking for leaks and turning off water to outside pipes if you can. It’s a good idea to keep the heating on low in those areas to prevent pipes from freezing.

And if that’s not enough, around 24,000 homes are also without power due to the freezing weather. ESB Networks is out there trying to restore power as quickly as possible.

Stay warm and keep an eye on the updates if you’re in the area!
