Prudhoe: So, there was this guy, Garry Addison, who got himself into a bit of trouble. He was riding his horse down a road in Northumberland while he was drunk. Not the best idea, right?

He was causing a real hassle for other drivers, just trotting along on his horse and cart. The police got called in after folks reported him. When the officer showed up, he was still riding around, not really caring about the chaos he was causing.

To make matters worse, he was already on a suspended sentence. When the officer tried to stop him, he didn’t cooperate at all. It got so out of hand that she had to use PAVA spray to get him under control. Yikes!

In the end, he got slapped with a £250 fine for being drunk in charge of a horse and for obstructing the police. The judge even mentioned it was the first time she’d seen a case like this. Can you believe it?

They said horses are big and powerful, and if you’re drunk, you can’t really handle them properly. It’s a danger to everyone around. The prosecutor shared that people had been complaining about him stopping and starting all over the place.

When the officer tried to talk to him, he just rode off. He was shouting and resisting arrest, which is never a good look. His lawyer said he was just trying to get home and was on the phone looking for help with the horse.

At least he’s managed to stay out of trouble since then. Let’s hope he learned his lesson!
