Sarasota: Sophia Ross became an internet sensation after bodycam footage of her flirting with a cop during a DUI stop went viral. She’s now known as the “2025 Hawk Tuah girl.”

The 22-year-old waitress at Hooters was pulled over for suspected drunk driving last November. In the footage, she tried to charm the officer, saying things like, “Turn off the lights, we’re going to make out.” It was quite the cringey moment!

Despite her antics, she ended up calling the officer a “nerd” before being taken into custody. Sophia has embraced the comparisons to Hailey Welch, the original Hawk Tuah girl, who also went viral for her bold behavior.

She told TMZ she admires Hailey and appreciates the attention, but also wants to remind people that drinking and driving is serious. “I survived, and I want to tell others, ‘don’t be me,’” she said.
