Gwent: So, there’s been some action at the old police station site. They’re finally replacing that flimsy fence that just wasn’t cutting it. It’s about time, right?

The local council gave the green light to put up hoardings instead. The old fence was just too easy to get through, and they had some issues with trespassers. Not cool!

This spot has been on the radar for new housing since 2013, and they even got the go-ahead for some homes next door a while back. It’s all part of a bigger plan.

Oh, and there’s talk of a new police custody suite being built there too. They submitted the application earlier this year, but it’s still in the works. Looks like we won’t hear anything until 2026, though.

So, fingers crossed that these changes will make the area safer and help with future developments. It’s a step in the right direction!
